We got ripped off again.
We have bought two refrigerators on Craigslist. We were just looking for a cheap fridge for the garage to put Mike's kegs in (he makes his own beer).
The first ($50) worked but the lining was peeling off. It didn't get cold enough to carbonate the beer so we looked for another one. We found another ($80) and it had a 30 day warranty on it from the guy that sold it. Well, today is day 30 and it just went out last night! I called the guy and his phone is disconnected!
I can't believe we got ripped off twice like that! I seriously can't! I know that they were cheap and my mom keeps asking me, "What were y'all expecting?" Well, I guess you live and learn. Guess we were just to trusting. I would NEVER sell anything to anyone that I knew wouldn't work. Never.

But yeah, Craigslist is not a mecca of honest people. Maybe a scratch and dent shop would be a better idea?

Oh, I am so sorry that happend to you. We were looking for a fridge for the garage too but I am too scared to buy something like that from Craigslist.

Some people really suck!
That happened with a glider/rocker I bought on Craigslist. It seemed fine until I got it home. It makes a loud creaky noise and wobbles a bit (which it didn't seem to do when I went to pick it up.) I tried tightening the screws, but it's still bad.
