Thoughts /Opinion on 2 girls names

So as we are approaching our due date, we are finally narrowing down our list of names.

i have always loved the name Sienna, and think i am still stuck on it.

DH loves the name Montana "Tana" for short. I think its cute, but am not totally convinced.

Please offer opinions and thoughts!

I like Sienna. I like Montana, too, though. I love different names, names that no one else will have. And I think it's even cuter with "Tana", to make it girlie. In my opinion, Sienna is the safer one, but I'm a fan of both! Good luck!!

Sienna is NMS, but it's fine. I've never heard of Montana as a name. I'm not a fan.

I prefer Sienna. I really don't like Tana and right now there would be a lot of Hannah Montana connections.

I know a girl named Montana, that goes by Tana, not a big fan of the name though....Sienna is cuter.

Sienna is very pretty.

Montana, on the other hand, not so much. It makes me think of 1. Hannah Montana and 2. The fiesty broad from Real World Boston.

I like Sienna okay. I think of the color "burnt sienna." I agree with the others about Montana. It is not my style. I think of Hannah Montana and the few Montanas I've known in real life that haven't left a good impression on me.

How about Serena? It has a similar feel and is rarely used.

Montana sounds like a Fat Name to me. I couldn't think of a way to say that nicely. I mean, it's not exactly a small state.

I wouldn't want to be named after a city or state. The question is would you? Pick a name you would walk about life with for yourself.

Montana--agree with most other posters, sounds redneck to me and maybe a homely girl. Tana is just as bad, but I grew up with a Tana who was pretty redneck.

Sienna--also NMS. It's a minivan and a random color.

Now Siena I could get behind, at least partially. That's a beautiful Tuscan city.

Spelled the other way, I group Sienna and Montana with Dakota and any other name like that.
