speaking of noise machines...

which one do you all have?  we have the conair infant sound machine which we originally bought for finn when he was like 6 months old and we bought it from target online only for $14 and then when we went to buy one for riley it had jumped up to $25 and Finn's just died two weeks ago so we ordered another one.  but saw in the post below that a bunch of people have them, so was wondering what kind y'all have?  I've noticed other noise machines but they don't have the white noise option, just stuff like water and rain, etc.  this was the only one we found that had the white noise......

  • We have a sleep sheep.
  • Loading the player...
  • We have a clock radio/cd player/noise machine. ??
  • I have a Homedics brand that I got at Bed Bath and Beyond.  It was $20.  It does not have a "white noise" option, which I also looked high and low for and could not find, so I finally bought this one.  And I have found that if I put it on "ocean" and crank it all the way up, it sounds just as good as white noise.

Jack has a Sharper Image brand that actually has a "white noise" option, but they have gone out of business since we bought that one.  I love it, but it did cost $50.

  • We have the Homedics Sound Spa Lullaby. We keep it on the rain noise.  It also has a built in timer that you can set it to cut off at 15,30,45, or 60 mins. It also has ocean noises and heartbeats, as well as lullabys. Love it! We take it with us when we travel too.

  • I have an ipod w/ docking station that my ocd SIL gave me with 1,543 lullabye's and nature sounds on it.
  • We have this one that we got a BRU for $20. It doesn't have white noise option but it has womb option. We keep it on the rain or ocean.

same here except we use the ocean.  It also has a light that can shine up onto the ceiling or wall that had images that spin around.  We never really used that, but it there if we wanted to.  This is the "baby crack machine" from the 0-6 month board that everyone raved about last summer.

  • Early on we used the heartbeat sound on the Happiest Baby on the Block DVD.  Then when he moved to his room, we switched to the Homedics Lullaby Sound Spa on the rain setting.  I loved that thing since it was so perfect for travel.  Until a bottle of body splash spilled all over it in my luggage.  So since then, we just keep a classical cd on repeat in his room and the rainforest soother.  When we travel, he has the seahorse, but DH also has his cd's on his iphone so he'll play that all night.

This one! We're on like our 5th one though because the projection unit keeps dying and we use it at night too.

  • We have a Sound Oasis Sound Therapy system -- it has a white noise option.  We got it on Amazon for $50.
