Car Seat Help

I have a two door car (2009 Tc Scion) its actually pretty roomy in th back but when my i would take care of my godson i had trouble removing his infant seat.. it was a mission and a half.. We honestly have no intentions at the moment to trade in my car, because its brand new and the value of it is less than what i owe, so we would be upside-down. Anyways i was looking at the Zeus Turn Carseat from Combi. which actually turns and would permit me to remove the baby from the car easier but honestly i haven't heard much of it.. We are planning on haveing two carseats one for DH (which the baby would spend most of the rides in **Britax**) and one for my car..

If you've heard of the Zeus Turn Carseat please let me know..

Re: Car Seat Help

  • Why don't you get two bases for the same carseat?

  • One infant seat is safest for an infant.
  • I just looked it up and found this...

At first I was thinking that it looks great and sounds absolutely wonderful!  But after reading a few reviews it seems that the seat and base are really large.  There were complaints from people that drive larger SUVs (Commander and Pathfinder) that had issues with the size of the seat.  So, for that reason alone I don't know that it will work very will in your compact car.

If there is somewhere around town that you could go to see it, and possibly they'd let you test it to make sure it fits in your car, then that would be ideal.  Good Luck!

OP is specifically talking about convertible seats... she said she doesn't like how the infant seats fit in her car.

The thing is that the Birtax convertible carseat that will be in DH car is WAY to big for my car. i have a two door car and he has an SUV.. and neither of the two carseats come with a seperate base that you can purchase.. That would mean that we would have to switch in and out the carseat all the time, which honestly thats a hassle to do..

We took a trip to BabyLove this weekend and they did that for me it was actually the best fitting carseat for my car.. and the great advantage was that it rotated.. It has side air impact which i heard is great..

Strange that owners of large SUVs had that complaint then... It's great that it will work in your car then!  I'd say go for it and get it! :)
