Bottle Vent

Why is it so bloody hard to find a wide neck bottle that doesn't have a million parts that need to be washed or that can get lost or if not properly installed spills everywhere?

I was using Born Free but I kept loosing the vents. So I got Avent thinking, it looked simple. ?Wide neck bottle, nipple and ring. perfect.?

WRONG. Apparently they now come with anti-colic sh!t that needs to go in there just so or the entire bottle will leak all over you and your baby.

    Try the Nuk bottles.  You have to make sure the nipple is put in their mouth in a certain direction but after using them a few times it becomes habit to make sure that the little vent hole in the nipple lines up with their nose.  There are only 3 parts: the bottle, nipple, and ring; the measuring scale doesn't wear off; and it vents just as well as Born Free and Avent IMO.  It was the third bottle we tried with our two and they both love them.  Plus I've heard that it works really well for BF babies who go back and forth between the boob and the bottle.  And it comes in cute fun colors.  ;)

    Ditto Nuk bottles! They're really easy and I haven't had any leaks.

    You know the trick with matching the notches on the nipple up with the notches on the ring for the avent bottles right?  Once I learned that, I haven't had a problem with them leaking at all.

    Mine leaked even when I did all of that.  It didn't matter how the holes lined up, whether I put the nipple together wet or dry, how tight/not tight the top was twisted, etc.  They didn't leak at every feeding but they always seemed to during the middle of the night feedings as well as during the day sometimes.  After about a month of that we threw them all out because we were so tired of dealing with it.

    I am obviously not thinking and forgot where I am cause I came into this thread expecting to talk about beer. LMAO!

    Good luck with the bottles though.
