Do NAMC rooms have hairdriers?

Trying to decide if I should pack one. TIA!

Re: Do NAMC rooms have hairdriers?

  • no, if you want one, you'll have to bring it yourself.

Everyone told me not to bring a hairdryer and that I'd never use it. I used it every day I was there and was so glad to have it...it made me feel like a somewhat normal person to have clean, blow-dried hair. Definitely bring one! :)

me too! ?I loved having my hair dryer and feeling semi-decent. ?I did catch some flack from a nurse when she came in and saw me blow drying the morning after my c/s.

  • this post totally made me lol :)  i love the thought that goes into packing your first bag!!  pack it!  you'll feel more human with cute hair.

i would have used it for sure after baby 1.  baby 2 recovery was a whole different story!

I'm wondering the same thing! Was it the actual c/s recovery or because you had a toddler to chase around too?

  • I saw pack it for sure.  That is the one time there will definitely be at LEAST one person available to hold/watch the baby while you get ready.  Once you're at home, it's a different story and you will find yourself praying that baby tolerates the swing/bouncy seat/whatever long enough for you to shower and dry your hair!  I had plenty of time to clean up at the hospital while J was having tests done and getting circumcised and DH was with him.
  • Thanks ladies!  I bought a travel-sized one and packed it!
