Anybody have any ideas for a Steelers nursery?

DH and I now live in Chicago, (but are yinzers to the core), and can't decide on a nursery theme for the already-painted yellow nursery room except for a black 'n gold Steelers nursery!  Is this totally goofy?  I think it is, but we can't get it out of our head for some reason!

    That sounds cute!  Get stencils of helmets and particularly famous numbers for the walls.  Not sure how you want to handle painting, but vertical stripes on the walls.  Plain yellow bedding would be easy to find too.

    You could also check out Fathead.com and get wall decals of the helmet, logo, or players!

    You could buy a Steelers calender and frame the pictures. 

    We have a teddy bear w/ a jersey and helmet.  I have no idea where MH found it, but they do exist.

    Steeler bobble heads, maybe?

    MH always wanted to make our game room floor look like a football field.  i vetoed it, but maybe you would want to try it. lol

    If you are crafty you can find Steeler fabric and make curtains, throw pillows, whatever.

     

    That's all I can think of at the moment

    We have a mobile with Steeler's bears on it. My husband borrowed an overhead projector from work, copied some Peanuts pictures onto overheads, and then outlined them on the wall with pencil. Afterwards, he bought sample-sized paint jars from Ace Hardware and painted the pictures. You could do something like that with football/Steeler's themes.

    I know this post is kind of old, but I am new here and this is such a cute idea!  Did you think about having either the carpet or the crib bedding in dark green?  You could probably get something that looks like a football field with the yards marked off.  I like the idea of the border on the wall with the helmets too. 

    Sort of off-topic, cut did you guys see the Steelers maternity t-shirts at Motherhood?  They are pretty cute.  Smile
