I've been having this pain for over 2 weeks now, mostly I feel it on the right side, and in my lower back. Sometimes though it feels like low cramps. Sometimes it feels like a hot, stabbing pain, sometimes a dull achy pain. It's not constant, but I feel it every day, and there have been a handful of times when it was bad enough that I was doubled over. At first I was worried I was having another ectopic but I've tested twice and I'm not pregnant. I've been putting off calling the dr. because I was hoping it would just go away but it's not getting better.
If you had a cyst, did you have symptoms? Did it go away on it's own? After how long?
I also thought that maybe my body is trying to ovulate or something but for two weeks straight of this pain? That doesn't make sense, right?
I'm hoping that's not what it is but after googling I think it might be. I should stop googling.
Re: does this sound like an ovarian cyst?
Random question - does your urine seem darker than normal? I once thought I had an ovarian cyst, and it turned out I had a kidney stone. (Of course, this was before charting, and really understanding where my ovaries are actually located.)
I really hope that's not what it is for you, but I'd probably put a call in to the doctor if you are having pain that doubles you over.
i recently had ovarian cysts and i would have a dull ach one minute and a sharp pain the next...I also had the most tender breast i had ever had..i knew i wasn't pregnant and my period was MIA so the RE brought me in for an us and sure enough i had 2 HUGE cysts..
They gave me an injection that made it go away..my cyst was releasing hormones so we wanted it gone...i am not sure if you HAVE to get them taken care of...I know non-hormone cysts can be managed with BCPs..
(read it. you know you want to.)
