3rd Trimester

I need a hug...

I'm really down right now. Nothing is happening here... no contractions, no signs labor will start any time soon and I'm scared of being induced (scheduled on Wed, Aug 12). I don't feel like doing anything at all except for crying (how pathetic, right?).

Sad

  • I'm sorry:( ?I can only imagine how frustrated you are, because I am already pretty miserable and really don't want to have to make the decision for induction or not if and when the time comes. ?I want to try to wait it out til 42 weeks, but I just don't see me being able to do that.

    Just remember, you will have your baby in your arms in a few days!!

  • This time next week you will be holding your perfect little baby and you wont even remember or care that he/she took so long to get there!

    Besides, you're way too pretty to be sad Smile

    Lol, thanks...

    I am not very good at this waiting game. Besides, a friend of mine due on the 16th had her baby this morning and I was like 'this is so unfair' :D

  • Okay, just remember that I was 40 weeks 3 days with less progress than you have (I was only 1 cm) and I went into labor and had a very quick and really ideal birth experience.  We came home 4 hours after we arrived at the birth center, my baby is breastfeeding wonderfully and everything is great.  I was truly planning on being induced because I really felt like it wasn't going to happen - but it did and it happened just like it was supposed to.  Just trust your body and your baby.  Can you delay your induction until you are a full 42 weeks?
  • Aww, hang in there! Pretty soon you'll have your baby in your arms and won't even remember all these frustrated feelings!

  • If it makes you feel any better, I was due before you, was not dilated at all at my last appt. on Thursday (they couldnt even sweep my membranes) and have had absolutely NO signs of labor or anything.  I will probably go to the hospital tomorrow night to have my cervix softened and, if that works, I will be induced on Tuesday. I really want to go into labor naturally.

    We can be sad together. I hope your baby gets here before Wednesday.

  • HUGS :)  I hope you go before Wen..... I am hoping for the same.... but am a bit behind you!!!

    Good Luck!

  • :::hugs:::

    Remember that you can go from zero to holding a baby in no time flat. Having contractions and dilation isn't really a good predictor.

    Also, I was afraid of the induction and really didn't want one either. Low and behold it was a truely fabulous experience. There are moments when I get sad that I didn't have the, "omg! my water broke!" experience of labor, but the induction was just a different kind of great labor.

  • ::hugs::

    I am sending you lots of labour dust.
