Ugh. I was so excited because I got a community ed book in the mail yesterday. I've been wanting to sign up for something that I could take Em to and meet other parents with children the same age.
Well apparently you are only allowed to go if you aren't a working mom. The class times are like 9-10:30am on a Monday or 11-12:30 on a Thursday. How about a saturday class? So stupid.
Re: So working moms are allowed to enjoy community ed?
SP, don't feel too bad--we don't go to a lot of them even though I am home, b/c 95% of the time, things are scheduled smack in the middle of nap time. And I know they wouldn't appreciate me bringing my super cranky needs to be in bed baby with me so that they can all listen to her scream. And...the closest MyGym to us is 70 miles away.
The only other suggestion I have is to look into Kindermusik, or see if any of your local colleges have community music schools. We got into the community music school here, and I chose a daytime class for us, but I know they had evening classes as well.
