nothing to pump at 4 days pp?

Is this normal?  I can't remember from DD...

Kai has been sleeping for a while, and hasn't nursed in about 3 hours or so... I am kinda dying over here... I tried to pump and got like, .000001 oz from both breasts... With Rylee I remember being able to pump alot more (I think at a week old, I pumped 5oz in no time...)

Thoughts?

    Is it a hospital grade pump? Was the pump working correctly?

    I used a hospital grade pump at 4 days pp and got a decent amount (not 5 oz or anything).

    do you need to change the membranes?  Are the horns the right size?  With DS1 I was using the horns that came with the pump.  I had to see a LC with DS1, and she said nothing about their size.  With DS2, I also had to see a LC and she had me go up a size....I don't know, maybe my boobs were bigger the second time around??(they were much bigger than his head, I remember that!) and she said that would increase my output.  GL

    When my DS was born, my milk didn't come in until day 5 pp.  Maybe your milk isn't in yet?

    My milk didn't really start to come in until 5 days.  I wouldn't worry yet.  What kind of pump are you using?

    Thanks for adding this!  I am 3 days PP and LO has been in the NICU since day one.  I've been pumping, but getting nothing and it's a little depressing, so it's good to know that it can take awhile.  Thanks ladies!

    Ohhh no... its there... It came in on day 2/3 in the hospital... I woke up with double d's... lol

    I am using a Avent Isis iQ... Maybe the flange (the soft part of it) needs to be replaced... I will look into that if by next week I still can't get anything...
