Has anyone had a pre-natal massage? I'll be 36 weeks this Friday and my whole body aches. I'm assuming this is normal? How do you others feel? Anyways, just wondering if anyone has a recommendation for pre-natal massages in the Royal Oak area. I know of Margot's but that's about it. Also, wondering if it's worth it. Thanks!
Re: Pre-natal massages
I had two at the end of my pregnancy and would totally recommend it! The woman I used to see unfortunately closed her business because of the economy. But if you check SpaFinder.com, you'll come up with a bunch of day spas in the Royal Oak / Troy / Birmingham area.
Also, if you don't already see a Chiropractor, I would recommend doing that, too.
I had one at maybe 30-32 weeks (I had several mini massages in physical therapy during my second trimester). I want to the Red House Salon in Shelby Township. They told me their Mt. Clemens location has a special pregnancy table too ... but Shelby was closer.
It was the best money I spent during pregnancy, and one of the best massages I've ever had. I also got one a few weeks after I gave birth (which I recommend).
Some places might want a doctor's note that late in your pregnancy. though.
There is a medspa called Mommy and Me prenatal pampering on Orchard Lake road in West Bloomfield. They only perform pre-natal services, and I plan on using them! A 1 hour massage is $80. Here is their website:

Both...but Chiro first.
If you are near Rochester Rd. and 19 mile there is a place called Kimi K salon and spa. There is a women there named Melissa who is great. I had a lot of pre-pregnancy back issues that I went to her for. I know that she does prenatal but have not been there yet because I was told not to go in my first trimester. I will be setting up an appointment soon though. I hope this helps! Good luck!
