2nd Trimester

Damn you, DQ!

So, they still have the tagalong blizzards in their commercials, even though it was blizzard of the month in July. So, DH goes to get me a tagalong blizzard, b/c I've had a shitty day, and do they have freaking tagalong blizzards? No, of course they don't! I told him he should tell them they were dissapointing a pregnant lady, and that they shouldn't have commercials with the tagalong blizzards if they weren't going to make them!

I had a Heath bar blizzard instead, but it just wasn't as satisfying.... ::contemplates the box of tagalongs hidden in the back of the pantry::

Re: Damn you, DQ!

  • They took those away already?  DH is obsessed with them, he is going to be upset!

  • Well thats lame! I just saw a Tagalong Blizzard commercial today so how can they not have them? Stupid DQ!
  • I was so upset last night!  We went through the drive thru and I ordered a small tagalong blizzard.  The girl snipped at me that they didn't have them anymore, they were for July.  I snapped back at her that the commercials say they had them.  She said no, now we have thin mint blizzards.  I said your commercials say you have both right now.

My desire for a blizzard won out over my annoyance at the girl, so I ordered the thin mint one anyway.  DH was in the car with me and totally made fun of me and the fact I was arguing with the 16 year old DQ employee. I informed him that nothing should ever stand in the way of a pregnant woman and her desired blizzard, so I was justified.

  • I too saw the commercial and went to DQ yesterday...  I asked if they still had them and the little boy behind the counter said they only had a little bit of the "topping" left.  So I was able to get one.

But, if it makes you feel any better, I had a small bellyache after.  I think they should keep them around 4eva.  Both DQ and the Girl Scouts would make money and pregnant women everywhere would be in heaven!

I could not agree more wholeheartedly! DH didn't say anything, but you can darn well bet if I'd been there, they'd have gotten an earful! Unfortunately, I hate mint chocolate, so the thin mint isn't even a good consolation prize! I agree with the other poster that they should just permanantly add these to their menu! I'd sure go to DQ more often!

  • Mean, just downright mean of DQ.....
  •  They do have a commercial featuring both blizzards!  Bastards. FWIW, Edy's ice cream usually does Girl Scout cookie flavors.

Side note:  If they change the cookie each month, will they have a Samoa blizzard?   Ooooh.

And for everyone on the West Coast, Edy's is Dreyers =)
