Organic Baby Food-Houston???

Okay, Jill is getting close to the age where she will need cereal, and then from there the rest of her solids. My family is transitioning to a plant based diet, and I need help in finding baby food that supports this lifestyle.

Anyone know of any organic baby food that I can buy in Houston, TX?

Any advice from vegan/vegetarian moms on feeding baby?

Thanks again for your help.

Re: Organic Baby Food-Houston???

  • Most baby food is vegan.  If you look at the ingredient labels, there are no animal products (as long as you stay away from the meat, of course).

  • Also, I'm looking for ORGANIC baby food.

    NO hormones, pesticides free...

  • Earth's Best (sold at BRU, maybe other places) is organic.

Have you thought about making it?

  • Sorry about that!  I was obviously focusing more on the vegan aspect.  Gerber also makes a line of organic baby foods.
  • There are some really good farmers markets in the area, I would just buy the fruit and veggies from there and make your own food.  That way you know for sure what she is eating.  What part of Houston are you from?
