What is your favorite international trip?

We're thinking about going to Europe next year. Where should we go?

Re: What is your favorite international trip?

  • I spent a semester in Florence and saw a bunch of places in Italy, and it was amazing! Florence, Rome, Venice, Milan. Didn't make it to the Amalfi Coast, which is supposed to be AMAZING and I would love to go back and see it!

We also took a cruise in the Eastern Med - Monte Carlo, Barcelona, Tunsia, Malta, Palermo, and Naples - which was probably even more amazing, but I wasn't sure if you were looking for a cruise.

  • i've only been to the standard european cities: london, paris, amsterdam.  i liked paris most of all.  i hate parisians though, lol.

my favorite all time trip, though?  cape town, south africa...hands down.

  • EUROCAMP!!!!!!!!!!!!  Google it.  It's farking aaaaaaaamazing.  So doesn't qualify as camping, but you get to see so much!

If you not into that, i would say Germany/Austria/Switzerland.  So much to see!!!!

  • Biarritz, France.

    AMAZING!

  • I've only been to England and France.  I loved London, Bath, seeing Stonehenge, etc.  I didn't really enjoy Paris.

DH went to Ireland and LOVED it.

We are planning a trip to Scotland once we are done having babies.

  • My fav has been Italy, Milan, Cinque Terra, Peruga, Tuscany, Florence, Rome, Naples.

I loved Prague!!!!!! The usual are also good, madrid, paris etc.

  • Those are two different questions.

The answer to the first is New Zealand.  Hands down my fav. place on earth.

If limited to Europe- I've only been to Scotland, England and France but I loved them all!

  • Western Ireland!  It's my only international trip (Canada doesn't count when you live in Michigan), but it was so beautiful!!  I'd also love to visit Germany and Italy.

I'm a German teacher. Guess what I'm going to say!

Beyond any German speaking country, I also lurve Italy - specifically Tuscany. Someday I'd love to go to Greece, too. ?If you need tips on Germany, page me.?

  • The Mediterranean-- Greek Islands, Turkey, and Sicily.  Great food, beautiful, nice weather, and wonderful, warm people.

  • Definitely Italy. Loved Florence, Bologna and Venice. Ahhhhh!!!
  • My favourite international trip was Chile/Argentina. If you're thinking about Europe, I would pick France or Italy. Hmmmm, maybe Switzerland, too.
