It seems that within minutes of DS being in FILs presence his hair is parted. I don't part his hair, I just brush it forward. I think he looks a little nerdy with it parted and it reminds me of a comb-over, a la Donald Trump.
Do you think parted hair (on baby boys, specifically) looks nerdy?
What do you do with your baby boy's hair? What about for girls?
Re: Is parting a baby's hair nerdy?
DDs hair is weird. It's longer right at the top of her head so it sticks up. I've started putting it in a little pony tail with a bow (like it is in my siggy).
The Blog
This post made me giggle. I think it does look a bit severe and possibly nerdy. When DH was growing up his mom did a combover for all his pictures and it reminds me of that. That said, I do like using a little comb on JM's hair for church and after bath. He looks cute!
I thought about this one for a second then seriously LOL'd. ?Mainly because parting DS's hair would be a near impossibility- tough to part a few strands of thin white hair.?But even if my baby had part-worthy hair, I think I'd skip the part. ?It would look a little nerdy, imo.?

DD's hair naturally falls into a part of sorts, I just encourage it. Unless you're parting a baby boys hair straight down the middle, I don't think it's nerdy. I think it looks polished and grown up.
When 3 Became 4
Nerdy, IMO. Unless you've got a super-preppy little boy. I've only known one little boy whose hair looked good parted, and he and his family were all super preps (khakis and polos ALL the time, always perfectly put-together outfits, etc - think Ralph Lauren kids magazine ads...) The side part fit his personality, and it was definitely a stylish part with some of it still a little more forward on the forehead (like Fairy's DS picture above). Not all to the side.
I had to break my DH of the side part when we started dating seriously! He'd just always worn it like that, since that's how his mom did it when he was a kid. SUPER GEEKY on him. But that may just be because he's a software developer...
