RANDOM POLL TIME!!! lol

soooo i needed new work clothes. the dress code is dark denim bottoms, black tops and dark shoes...jean shopping is one of my most hated things to do(i have a little waist and BIG butt and thick thighs...if something fits my bitt and thighs the waist is gappy and big..if it fits my waist my thighs can't breathe lol...it's a project)...two days and countless stores later i FELL IN LOVE in the Gap. ever put on a pair of jeans that fit so perfect and make you feel so sexy you just want to strut past a mirror and check out yourself??? i did that like four times today hahhahha. Gap Curvy Flare jeans and Gap Trouser jeans are my new loves...their Essential Fit are also very comfy and flattering but the other two won the husband and SIL approval more lol.

so Ladies...fave jeans or bottoms?????

Re: RANDOM POLL TIME!!! lol

  • haha i'm soooo glad you were able to find pants that made you feel sexy :)

i also have horrible troubles finding pants because i'm so ill-proportioned - i have a long torso and super short legs - petites don't fit because of the torso/waist but reg. are about 8 inches too long lol.  and then i have a small lower butt, but a big upper butt.  and ever since starting fert meds, and have lumpy hips. . .::Sigh::

so kudos to you Big Smile

  • Tailors are my best friends.  I am 5'11 and have a smaller waist, bigger thighs....so I buy a size bigger and longer and have them tailored.  It only costs about $10 and is worth every penny.  I've given up trying to fit into a "size".

  • I looooove William Rast jeans. They are my favorite, but I only have 2 pair because they were so expensive. Other than that, I love me some Old Navy!
  • I have to have my pants tailored too...I'm only 5'2 but I have huge calves (I danced for 16 years) and many fitted jeans won't fit over them!

Ann Taylor Trouser Jeans are my favorite.

  • I have the same issues as you with  most pants.  To get them to fit my hips & thighs I usually have to go up a size and then the waist is huge. I love the GAP essential fit.  I haven't tried the cury flare or trouser fit.  Maybe I'll have to make a trip to the mall next week!
  • Being both plus size & tall (5'10" & a 22/24) I love Lane Bryant's new sizing system that isn't based on size so much as shape & proportions.  I have skinny calves but large thighs & I don't look like I'm wearing bell bottoms in their jeans, which is great.

I agree!  I'm short and plus-sized and the new right-fit jeans are the best!
