When did you take your LO into the pool for the 1st time?

She had her 2 month check up on Monday and I meant to ask, but totally forgot.  We have an east facing yard, so the pool is shaded in the afternoon and right now our pool is super warm, so I was kind of thinking about trying it out soon.

    6 months, but that's because i was in FL and it was warm enough, i had to wait another month or so when we got back to TX because it was still too cold (too me anyway, lol).   I probably would have gone earlier with ike if he had been born later if that makes any sense.  I wasn't waiting for ike to be a certain age, just waiting for them temps to go up and they are definitely up, lol.

    10 months but that's b/c she was born at the end of last summer.  At 2 months I don't think they are suppose to wear sunblock but if you have shade I don't think there is a problem with it.

    We didn't take DS into the pool until he was 7 months old. I would have taken him a lot sooner, but he was born in September. We put him in swim lessons in April and May at the YMCA. It was an indoor pool.

    2 months... we were at a hotel with an indoor pool.  The water was warm so we took her in.  We just made sure we bathed her right after to get off all the chlorine (and whatever else was in that water!).

    At about 4 months, we put her in the lake but it was a little cool and she hated it.

    DS was 3 months when we did it.  It was an indoor pool & very warm.

    We did for the 1st time this past Friday.  We went to Schlitterban in New Braunfels.  The kiddie pool was kinda of cold for her but she warmed up to it.  Then we found a heated pool and she really liked it.

    When he was exactly 3 months old.  If you just hold her, I don't see what the problem would be.  But I don't have a pool & I'm definitely not an expert.

    I think he was 4 months but we would have taken him sooner if he had not been born in February :)

    6 months, but he was born in November. My pedi said as long as you rinse them down afterwards to get the chlorine off their skin then whatever age is ok.
