Baby Showers

Is anyone having a Fall/Halloween themed shower?

 so here is the deal....

My friends are throwing me a baby shower which I begged and pleaded them not to do(since I just had my son last April 2008 and they had a HUGE shower for me then), but I guess since it's a girl they insist and how thoughtful of them.  They won't let me say no.

So it will be very small about 15 people and I wanted to bring something for everyone that is Halloween themed or Fall themed since baby girl is due Halloween.  Just as a thank you for coming etc.

 any thoughts or ideas?

  • Little plastic pumpkins with pink m&m's (or some other pink candy)?

  • Mine is probably going to be fall themed as well.  I know technically I'm not suppose to be involved in my baby shower (except for showing up and being greatful) but I can't help at least looking for stuff. Smile

I haven't done too much searching yet but I found this website:

    https://www.celebrations.com/fall-parties

It's just parties not specifically baby, but some of the ideas could work.  They also have this, specifically for baby:

I'm sure if you Google "Fall Baby Shower" or "Halloween Themed Baby Shower" or variations of that wording alot of sites will come up.

I saw this wording that someone else posted a while back for an invitation:
"Becca and Andy are excited to say, their little pumpkin is on the way!"

It kind of sounds like a co-ed party though, like both mother and father will be there.  You could change it to something like:
"Mother to be is excited to say, her little pumpkin is on the way"

  • Caramel Apples made up to look like jack-o-lanterns?

    Two options:

    1. dip them in white chocolate (dyed orange of course) and pipe on the face

    2. dip in caramel and roll in orange sugar sprinkles and pipe on the face (this option is tastier, but more work.)

  • I was gonna say caramel apples too.  YUMMY!  I would normally say do  edibles but i'd love a fall scented yankee candle or something like that.  Fall is my favorite time of year.
  • As one of the favors for my wedding last year we did caramel apples...I ordered them online from a site called Daffy Apple.  They were a hit and my friends and family still talk about how good they were.  I bought them 3 to a pack and then just put them in cello bags from Michaels with pretty ribbons and a tag that I designed on my computer myself.  You might want to check them out.
