Had the amnio today...

This was my second, so the fear of the unknown wasn't there like the first time, but I was still nervous.

It went smoothly, and the u/s showed no DS markers. Nonetheless, now I sit for 24-28 hours and chew off my finger nails waiting for the results. Gah!

DH and I are leaning towards not doing the amnio. We were 1:235 for Downs, which I consider a "win" since at 39 my baseline is 1:140. Can I ask why you decided to do the amnio for both your pg's? I'm just curious if there are other things I should be considering. TIA!

We are need-to-know people. The odds of a screening test are just not good enough for me. In fact, this pregnancy we skipped all the screenings and went straight for the good stuff.
