I used to exercise regularly, then I went on vacation and got out of my routine. (I seem to do that every year).
This time, however, when I got back from vacation I was preggo! While I didn't have any symptoms for the first several weeks, I just didn't get back into my routine of going to the gym. Then the nausea and fatigue hit. I didn't have "morning sickness", I didn't throw up, I just felt like I was going to 24/7. Needless to say, this hindered my motivation to get myself to the gym.
I am now on week 9, my gym bag is in the car. Hopefully I won't feel like falling on my face when I get off work. Anyone else trying to get back on track? I really don't want to gain 60 lbs with this baby! Any motivation or encouragement is greatly appreciated!
Re: Fit & Fabulous Mommies-to-be
This is going to sound silly, but no matter how you feel, try to make youself go tonight. I find that when I actually go to the gym, I feel 100 times better than when I don't (even though it takes everything in me to make myself go). Good luck!
I know it's hard not to work out when you're used to doing it. I think you just need to listen to your body. If you're feeling awful, rest. Usually, the nausea will pass by 2nd tri, and you'll be able to get back into a routine.
If you're worried about your weight, just make sure you're eating well. Maybe instead of doing a whole gym workout, just go for a walk in the evenings. Every little bit counts, you know?

First of all, feeling like you're going to puke, even if you don't, is still considered morning sickness. Hope you're feeling better on that front.
I have had no desire to hit the weights, but I have been walking and riding my bike. It really helps my morning sickness and general mood to get out in the fresh air and move. It also helps my ass from getting too huge too quickly in the first tri! Just do what feels good to you. I find that if I force myself to put on my shoes and go outside, the rest just happens.
GL and congrats on your vacation souvenir!
I am trying to get back on track! I have been trying to walk 4-5x a week, but have not been to the gym since the BFP
I really don't want to gain 60 lbs with this baby, either!
My m/s has just been perma-nausea, but it seems to be (knock on wood) subsiding. I haven't gotten the gym bag to the car yet, but I would love to keep comparing notes on how we're doing!
Good luck! Keep us posted!

I?m a runner as well and have managed to maintain my running pretty much everyday since my BFP. The only change I?ve made is that I generally stick to 3/4 milers where I used to do 4/6?s and I?m running at a little slower pace. I FORCE myself to do this.. I have been exhausted and nauseas (not throwing up thankfully) but I find that as pain in the a$$ as it is to drag myself to the gym it is SOOO worth it after. I feel a million times better afterward no matter how crappy I felt before.
