We wash our own CDs, so I don't have personal experience with TD. But I know many people who have used or are using them and they are all happy. In fact, they all tried to convince me to use TD instead of doing it on my own.
The main reason that we didn't go with TD was cost. It's cheaper to do it on your own (which really isn't hard - It's just an extra load of laundry every 2-3 days). But I have been told that a diaper service is about the same cost as disposables. Other cons are that you are limited to prefolds (which also aren't hard - we use them for daytime) and the cleaning processes of services is not ideal. Purists argue that services use too much bleach and other pollutants, which are bad for the environment and some babies with sensitive skin, although I don't know what TD does. IMHO, I think it's still better than the environmental impacts of disposables.
The major (and only?) pro is definitely convenience. It's a good way to get the benifits of CDs without having to wash them. The users I know LOVE just dropping the dirty diapers in a bag that is magically replaced with clean ones every week.

I think so. You don't even have to rinse them, just throw them in the diaper pail. The only disadvantage I can see is that when it is hot, like it has been recently, and pee is heat activated, a week is a long time to wait. If I were washing them on my own I could clean them more quickly and avoid the hot weather stink out. But they have been great and we are really happy.
