FIL gave us money for DD's birthday and specifically requested we buy her clothes with it. Since I haven't really done any Fall/Winter shopping for DD yet and it's been forever since I got her anything besides resale, I thought it would be nice if I stocked up on some nice new things. Especially since now I know these things will need to last through two kids ![]()
You think I should go fancy with Gymboree tops and dresses? Get more "staples" from Lands End like leggings and long sleeved tops? TCP?
WWND? What would Nesties do?
BTW, I'm excessively excited to go shopping for DD. I love being frugal with her clothes but who doesn't love a nice little shopping spree on someone elses dime!
Re: Where would you spend $$$ on Kids Clothes?
i'd get one really nice outfit from janie and jack. the one we got henrik has lasted and held up wonderfully. it would totally make it though another kiddo
and then maybe try the gap sales rack (the have tons of girl clothes) and then hit gymboree (even outlet)
It totally depends on how much $$ he gave you, but for colder weather I like: Old Navy boot cut jeans (I'd get two pairs), Gymboree mix and match stuff from whatever set of clothes I think is cutest - I can usually use some of their sweaters over a long sleeve top for colder weather, perhaps a little Janie & Jack especially if she needs something fancy, a few items from Target or Old Navy - I like Target for basics like leggings and yoga pants.

I am a huge sucker for babyGap and Janie & Jack. But I NEVER pay full-price and if you shop their sales/outlets, you can get some good deals! So, I'd blow it all at those 2 places.
Happy Shopping!!!
Target, Carters and probably check out my local second hand stores. Have fun shopping!
