1st Trimester

I think drinking water is making me sick...

Everytime I drink water I feel nauseous.  However, today, I tried Lemonade and feel better.  I am trying to decide if I should call my doctor and see if this is ok.  I know she told me to drink about a gallon of water every day but it just makes me so nauseous.

  • I actually thought the same thing and talked to my dr. about it. She said that water does make you throw up and drink what you can. if something else works.. use that.. whether its lemonade or something else. its important to be hydrated!
  • There are lots of ways to get your water every day:

    water, lemonade, tea (decaf, of course), fruits (especially melons), Gatorade, etc.

  • maybe you could try crystal light? or fruit in your water.

  • I was just feeling the same way.  I had to break downe and put a sugar free kool aid pack in my water.  I know, I know, the artificial sweetner, but I couldn't take the feeling plain water was giving me.

  • I'm right there with ya - water makes me puke.

    Try seriously watering down your lemonade or drinking sparkling water. Might help.

  • Water started giving me the same feeling.

    I've found that hot chocolate is my savior.

    And that Gatorade works wonders too. With Gatorade I usually dilute it with tons of ice, that eventually melts into water with some flavor to it.

  • I know how it feels, water started tasting horrible to me a month ago. I have found that bottled water (as eco-friendly as I try to be, I just can't help it with the state I am in!) tastes better...so I bought a big jug of Sparkletts for the fridge (the kind with the little dispenser on it) and I MIX it with the filtered fridge water...not too bad...but you have to find your own mix!!! I do about 1/2 and 1/2...

     When I want to treat myself I like the flavor of Smart Water and Fiji...

     The NEW Vitamin Water 10 (it's sweetened with Stevia, the best sweetner you can use because it's made from a plant, not chemicals like Sweet N Low and Splenda and Equal and all those) is FANTASTIC too...
