Ideas for coupon class location?

Since it sounded like there were a decent amount of people interested in the couponing class, I went ahead and e-mailed the lady. She wrote me right back and was really excited about hosting another class. I asked if she had any suggestions on where we might host a class and she said that some Panera Bread locations have a private room. Does that sound good to everyone? Or any other suggestions? My only thought....the class hosted by the Moms group was at someone's house, and people brought wine and other adult beverages to drink..which I think made it more fun and social.  WDYT?

Re: Ideas for coupon class location?

  • Someone's house would be fun, if someone has a large enough house.  Unfortunately I really don't, unless we're talking about less than 10 people.  If not, Panera would be fine. Or maybe a local winery?  Valley Vineyard would be nice, but it's far for NKY people.

  • Hmmm.....I would totally have it at my house.  But the next few weeks are CRAZY with my brother getting married in a month....showers, parties, etc.  If people wanted to wait until end of Sept/Oct I would talk to DH about hosting it.....we'll probably still have a ton of boxes!  But that's a long while to wait.

  • Does anyone have a clubhouse or some type of place like that, that could be used.  I agree that bringing snacks and drinks might make it more social!  Hmm...I'll put my thinking cap on and see if I can come up with anything.

  • How long does it last?  Anderson Center Station has a room available for rent for $20 per hour for Residents?  Although I'm no longer a resident and I don't know about "adult" beverages....so maybe it's not such a great idea! LOL!  I'll keep looking!

  • I wouldn't mind hosting but I'm not exactly centrally located for everyone.

  • My DH works PT as a leasing agent for an apartment complex in Monfort Heights and he might be able to get their clubhouse free of charge or very very cheap.  Its kinda small so the group size would matter.  I would think no more than around 12-15 people, but I will look into it.  We are kinda west, but it might be as close to "central" as we might find.

  • I have a small house so I am not much help.  I didn't respond to the OP, but I would like to come assuming I can fit it into the schedule.

  • I would love to attend this class since I really need help with couponing. I didn't see the other post. Is there a charge for the class? How many ladies would be attending. We could possibly host it at my house depending on how many are attending. My parents have an awesome clubhouse in Legendary Run but it is $75 to rent out so not sure if that would work. It is huge though and can hold a lot of people and also has a kitchen/oven, etc so we could bring in drinks, food, etc.
  • I would be willing to host it.  I am not sure where everyone would be coming from, so I am not sure how convenient I am to everyone.  But I do agree that it would nice to have a more social atmosphere with food and adult beverages! Maybe it would make me more receptive to entering the world of couponing!

  • I'd like to come to the class if I can make it, too!  Our house is small, so I wouldn't be able to host, but what about a room at a community center or public library?
  • I, also, missed the original post.  I've been on here for awhile and had no idea there was a Cincinnati board!  Anywho, if it's okay, I'd love to come too.  I've been trying to learn the whole couponing thing for awhile and just not getting the hang of it.  Let me know!  Thanks!

What about if we go this route and just divide out the cost of the clubhouse rental?  Assuming that a good number of us are planning to attend, the cost per person should be nominal; and, that way, we know we'll have plenty of space.

BTW, I can't tell you how excited I am about this!  Does that make me a HUGE nerd?  :o)
