s/o co-sleeping

I am taking DD on a trip to OK to visit family and there is a good chance she will just sleep with me. I am bringing the pack n play but I don't think she's going to go for that. Since I have never co-slept before can someone please tell me "the rules"? tia!

Re: s/o co-sleeping

  • A queen sized bed or bigger. I dont put any pillows or blankets by her, except one inbetween the wall and the bed (bed is pushed up against the wall)-when its just me and DD. When its me and DH, she is inbetween.

  • Dont drink before bed and put a pillow next to her i co slept with my son when i was breast feeding and its fine your body wont let you roll over her but they say not to let them sleep next to their dads as their bodys dont have this.
  • DD sleeps in between us. I keep the blankets and pillows as far as possible away from her. Oh and if your LO takes a paci I'd keep a few in the bed lol. DD always wakes up looking for her paci then I spend the next 7 minutes running my hands all over bed looking for it. lol
  • Don't do drugs or get drunk.  Don't lay on top of her.

Actually, at her age, she will be fine.  Lay her in between you or between you and a wall.  Pillows near her face aren't good, but you don't have to worry about a blanket.  She can move it if it goes over her face.
