update on S's fever

i had given him motrin around 2:30-3, so i gave him tylenol at 6 when DH got home. he played a little, but mostly just kept trying to get from DH to me while whining.

we gave him a cool bath, and he took a whole bottle and fell right asleep. no dinner tonight he refused the popsicle i tried to give him. he is sound asleep right now, cuddling his blankie. i felt his head, and he still felt warm, but i'm not going to bother him unless he wakes up.

My DD had this exact thing for a little over a week... we gave her Motrin to help with the fever. She was soooo cranky and seriously, DID NOT EAT anything for like 3 days straight, maybe 5 oz of formula each day. Finally, she popped a little tooth... Don't know if it was from the tooth or if she was teething and had a little virus at the same time. But she was better after a week. Good luck! The little ones are stronger than we think

I was going to say this! DS just got over this and of course, since there aren't any other symptoms besides the high fever the Dr.'s couldn't really do much for him.

It sounds scarier than it is...we just had to keep alternating the Motrin/Tylenol and give him lukewarm baths to keep him comfortable. Oh and a LOT of cudding since he was super whiny/clingy!! Hope Shepherd feels better!

Even if it is roseola, you should be fine by Friday. Once the fever breaks, the rash usually lasts a few days. But the rash isn't contagious.

Kate actually had this last week. No symptoms except fever, then runny nose, then the spots showed up. Still fighting the runny nose, otherwise she is great. I hope your LO feels better soon.
