The dog spent 20 minutes this afternoon chasing a bug around upstairs.

And I let her.

I *thought* that she'd killed a beetle, and because DH was being a doink I covered it with some tissue and left it on the floor of the empty bedroom.

 Five minutes ago, something dive bombs my head with a serious buzzing noise and DH goes "get up now and stand in the middle of the room."

Yeah, beetle wasn't dead. And it was totally coming for me. So he caught it AND took care of it.

I told him that it must be the angry avenging friend of the one that Yoda killed.

And he believed me.

My night's not getting any better than that. It's bedtime.

    I wonder what it thought when it came to under the tissue.  "Did I die and go to a fluffy cloud-like heaven?"  "Did mama tuck me in?!  I thought the sparrow had gotten her months ago!"  "Dam litterer put a used kleenex on me, that rat-bastird."
