My Ds is almost 10 months old. He has within the last week started to refuse all baby food and has been not wanting his bottle that much. He was drinking 4 4-6 oz bottles a day and now he has been drinking less and less at each bottle. Is this a sign that it is time to just do 3 bottles a day?
Also he has been refusing his baby food and will not eat his cereal anymore. I realize that he will eventually not eat baby food anymore but I always worry that he is not getting enough with just his finger foods. He will eat pretty much anything and likes to feed himself but it always seems like when I get him out of his highchair there is a lot of food on his lap and I worry he does not get what he needs. Any advice or thoughts? TIA
Re: 10 month old and refusing baby food and backing off bottle?
I like giving the baby food so that I know how much she is getting too. My DD is small, so it's always something I worry about.
If I give her puffs or cheerios to occupy her, I can feed her from the spoon. Otherwise, she swats the spoon. After she eats the jar, I let her feed other things herself, and don't really worry about how much b/c she already ate enough, kwim?
We are in this situation since 10 months. I switched to straw cups (except the early morning feeding) and it takes a lot of time to finish a 6oz cup. I keep offering, and I'm happy to get 12-16oz in him at the end of the day. He eats all finger food, but the amount varies day to day.
This is stressful for me, I find myself counting milk oz all the time now!
