Diaper stackers

Ummm... am I missing something?

Why are diaper stackers more convenient than just keeping packages of diapers in a drawer or something?

Is it just that they're cute and match the bedding, or is there some magical benefit I'm not seeing?

I guess if you don't have room in your dresser/changing table to keep diapers... but other than that it just seems annoying to keep filling it.

Thoughts? :)

Re: Diaper stackers

  • We skipped the diaper stacker, and would have even if we weren't using CDs. I didn't see the point.?

We store diapers in the top drawer of the dresser/changing table.?

  • Loading the player...
  • i dont see their purpose either & am not buying one.
  • Yeah, I don't understand either.  I was thinking about using mine for books to read to the baby.

  • Our dresser is a combo dresser that we use as a changing table as well.  Honestly, you won't even use the changing table as much as you think.  We never did.  Diapers were changed wherever it was convenient, meaning stacks of diapers were kept all over the place.

Most of our diapers were kept in the cabinet where diaper stuff goes in our dresser.  If space were an issue, I'd get a canvas storage box thing to keep them in.

  • I got caught up in the *charm* of them with DS's bedding set (PBK) then realized what a waste of $$ they are!
  • Our bedding set came with one. If it didn't, we wouldn't have one. It's sitting empty hanging on the changing table.I'm sure they're just for looks, but I don't really see the point.

  • They are a huge waist of money.  No parent I have ever known has bought them and actually used them.  They are just dust collectors!  Cute, unnecessary dust collectors.

  • I didn't buy one but there was one included in my bedding set.  I stored all my diapers in the top drawer of our changer/combo and used the diaper stacker to store all the extra crib sheets.
  • I loved ours, kept them at a handy level, worked great with pull ups too and didn't need to find someplace to put the extras - we had limited space in DD's room.
  • I keep stuffed animals in mine right now. Maybe once my little girl is here I'll find it to be more useful.
  • I guess I'm in the minority here.  I am still using Rylie's and will use Bryce's too.  I have all of Rylie's many clothes in her drawers so I don't have room in her drawers for them.  The diaper stacker is within my reach and stores the diapers covered (for the most part).  Honestly, I don't know where else I would put them.  And I would say I change Rylie 95% of the time on her changing pad.  It's just easier because that is where all of her stuff is.

  • I still use it for DD #1's diapers and almost all of her diapers are changed at the changing table when we are home, unless I am feeling really crappy and don't want to lift her.  I didn't think it was a pain at all.

I try to keep things very organized in my limited space though so maybe thats why.  I do plan on using one for DD #2 also.
