Okay, so I've been lurking heavily (as in multiple times a day) on this board since February. Every once in a while, I'd do a quick intro and ask a question, then I'd retreat. I watched the wifeys pair up and (jealously) watched canning camp get planned and seen the fabulous yard sale finds. Now, I'm ready to commit. Some of the things that happened at the end of the week with trolls made me want to come out from hiding and be more active. I just think that you all are fabulous and I'm so impressed with the general atmosphere of this board. Even when things are a bit tense, people tend to handle themselves well, IMHO. I've gotten so much good advice here and could thank many of you individually for recommendations. Now, my personal goal is to get over my own shy tendencies and post each day ( I do have a question about Ergos that I'll post separately). We'll see how it goes.
So, I'm in my late thirties and am a Library Media Specialist here in lovely southeastern PA (between Lancaster and Philly). My husband and I have been married for two years and my beautiful DD was born on June 19. She's almost 7 weeks and we're doing pretty well so far. I had a birth center birth (amazing but extremely challenging labor) and am a cloth-diapering, co-sleeping, stay-at-home-mama (at least until Sept. 2010).
Looking forward to getting to know you all better!
Re: Introducing Self
Hi and welcome! Congrats on your daughter and I'd love to read your birth story if you've typed it up. I'm considering using a birth center for my next pregnancy.
I was a lurker for a really long time too and just finally started posting more over the past month so I totally understand where you're coming from.
Welcome!

Cycle #11: BFP
What a sweet introduction! Hello, and welcome to the board.
Perhaps you could post more in the next month or so so you'll get to know us enough to feel comfortable coming to Canning Camp. It's being held over in your neck of the woods.
