How long ago was the procedure? It could be your throat is irritaed from the tube they put down there while you are sleeping. If it lasts long, it could be a sign of infection, or illness.

I'm not sure if you are talking to the OP or me, but I didn't have a tube down my throat during the procedure. They knocked me out through my IV, didn't put me all the way under, and told me I would be breathing on my own and wouldn't require a tube (thank goodness!).
