No dirty diaper yesterday.

My 3mo old usually has between 1 and 4 poopy diapers each day, yesterday there were none. How long would should I wait before getting concerned. What would you do? Call the pedi, give prune juice?

    If you're worried, you can call the pedi, however when ds was about 2.5 months old he stopped having daily poopy diapers and now has a bm probably every 3 or 4 days.  "They" say that bf'd babies can go up to a week.  If your LO appears in pain, or has a hard poop, then it might be constipation. 

    Oh, you can also give prune juice (if juice has been ok'd by your pedi) or do a temp with a rectal therm to stimulate that area.

    I don't think you should worry until it's a week or more without a poopy diaper. DS went from having 4 a day to 1 every couple days very quickly and that happened around 3.5 months. BM is very efficient and easily digestable, so their little bodies start using almost everything you put in and not as much comes out lol.

    Yes I wouldnt worry -- PJ goes 3-4 days without pooping sometimes.  As long as he's still peeing, I don't worry.
