constant nausea :(

I haven't thrown up at all and I know it could be much much worse but I feel so crappy, tired, constantly sick to my stomach. I can't imagine being like this for another 2 months. I also feel lazy cause I haven't been working very much at my part time summer job...

?

Any tips on things to try to help the stomach? I feel bad too that I am not eating healthy at all but the only things I can even consider are bread/crackers/etc and pop and sometimes milk.

?

thanks for listening to my whiney vent. ?

Re: constant nausea :(

  • Sprite or 7up always helped me feel a little better

  • I have done Sprite and then lemonade powerade. These both help me.

  • lemonheads, jolly ranchers, lemonade, ginger ale....

small meals more often to keep food in your stomach...i'm doing a terrible job of eating healthy right now.  Since potatos are really the only thing that sounds palletable (tatertots, french fries, mashed etc..) along with pasta (mac and cheeze:) ).  I figured, once the nausea subsides, i'll pick up eating healthy again...for now i try to force down a veggie or two (raw carrots seem to sit well actually).

  • If you are open to it, I'd recommend trying acupuncture.  I started doing it to help with my IVF cycle and have continued going 1/week.  Last week I started feeling pretty crappy for much of the afternoon and evening.  I had an acu appt. last week on Friday afternoon.  When I went in, I was already feeling crappy.  By the time I left the office, I was feeling better, and I felt much better over the weekend.  I'm not sure how long the effects will last - I have another appt. scheduled for this Friday but will move it up if I need to.

    Good luck!

  • Small meals - whatever I can keep down which is usually crackers, bagels, peanut butter, pasta and water diluted w/gatorade.

Also - last week my dr. recommended Sea Bands which are accupressure bands and I have to say, I think they work.  I have been using them for the past 4 days and while I don't feel fabulous, I do feel less nauseous (and I have the lovely all day nauseousness that gets worse at night) than I had been feeling.

I hope you feel better soon!

  • Water with lemon. Mints. I'm still dealing it.
  • This will go away in a few weeks.  I'm 9w3d and my constant nausea has let up.  Now it just comes and goes...but when it comes it's really bad.
  • Vitamin B6 really helps me.

  • oh man i'm glad i saw this, i was about to post a whine about mine! its like if my stomach isn't full, i feel sick. no throwing up like you said, just a constant nausea.  i've been trying to eat several small meals but it's not helping. only thing that helps is if my stomach is FULL. its like the hunger is making me this way. oh will it go away! i wasn't like this at all with my son. this better be a girl!  this has been total opposite then when i was pregnant with him. i just wanna curl up in bed :(
  • I did all of the above. Sea Bands helped a bit, def b6, lemon drops. I also found that milk based things settled my stomach too. All of these things did help, but did not entirely alleviate the problem. I say do all you can and it'll be gone/you'll get used to it before you know it.

  • I've tried everything.  B6, Unisom, Dramamine, small meals, peanut butter crackers (worked with DD), saltines, ginger ale, Sprite, lemon water, lemonade, Lemon Heads, Jolly Ranchers, Preggie Pops Drops (both kinds), Organic Queasy Drops, Ice Breakers Sours, Sea Bands.

At my appointment today DH ended up begging my doctor for me some phenergan or anything.  So now I'm home, drugged up on phenergan, but at least I'm not nauseous.  I was staying nauseous but not able to throw up.  Just violent dry heaving.  But because I had tried everything we could really think of, we ended up going the prescription route.
