What are some good sites to shop on line for clothes?

  • Depends on what type of stuff you like.

  • Pretty basic jeans and t-shirts gal but I need a few nicer things. I need a pair of slacks, maybe a skirt and some pjs that aren't stained and worn out.

  • I like the typical Banana Republic, Gap, JCrew.
  • I should have mentioned that I am short and not a skinny mini type at all.  I also have a large chest which I hate with a passion.

So...shopping sucks.  I hate it.  But I need to get a few things for sure.

  • I think we've discussed the large chest before...we're the same size so I hear ya!!  I HATE that I can't wear button down shirts.

Gap & Banana I think both do short length in their pants & jeans.  JCrew might even do that as well.

  • I really like Boden.  It's like JCrew but for real women's bodies, is how I think of it.  Plus it's British (w/o the overseas shipping!), so they charmingly call sweaters "jumpers."

I'm waiting till I lose some of my baby weight to buy new stuff, but I've been salivating over the catalog, esp. the cute long sleeve shirts.

  • But I'm not much help beyond those suggestions.  I hate to shop especially for clothes.

Oh, I like Anne Taylor & AT Loft.  You might find something in their petite section (and that just means the rise & length not necessarily the overall size) since you're on the short side.

  • What about Old Navy?  I don't shop for tops anymore because I can't fit my chest into anything made for women.  So I pretty much buy men's tee shirts and wear those.  Occasionally Ross will have something though as well.  JCPenney as well.
  • And dont forget the 30% off at all Gap brand stores too with the coupon that was posted the other day.  I can find the link if you need it but I think it's in store only.

BTW- did you ever track down an Anita bra?

  • Since you just need simple things have you tried Kohls?  My mom is 4'11 and has a large chest and she buys from their petitie dept and usually does pretty well.  You can buy online and if you hate it, return it at the store.  Usually there are a ton of coupons out there, too.

    Good idea!

I tried Penneys and they were sold out of the few things I liked.  I'm going to try some others in just a bit.  I will find a few things that I like and at a good price.  I am determined.

  • my favorite site is fair indigo. They get lots of reviews from customers which might help you find the right fit. It's all fair trade, and mostly organic fibers.
