Sorry if this was posted earlier in the summer, I just ran across it. I'm sure they're not the only company to fix prices, and I don't shop at BRU often, but it still makes me mad. Especially since I'm in the market for a new pump, and no place sells the Medela PIS(A) for less than $270.
Re: Why pumps never go on sale (BRU price fixing)
I ordered mine at bed bath and beyond...not buy buy baby...and used a 20% off coupon great deal...they are listed for 279...but 20% is a sweet deal!

I was able to get the medela PIS Advance at the hospital gift shop for $229 on sale...keep looking, bargains are everywhere!
I refuse to support a companies (BRU and Medela) that have such blatantly unfriendly policies towards moms.
Along with price-fixing, BRU has terrible customer service while Medela has chosen to violate the WHO Code which got them kicked out of the International Lactation Consultant Association's annual meeting.
Ameda and Hygeia are two pump companies with quality products that are mom-friendly and support the WHO Code.
I've seen them on sale at Target, too. Plus I bought my Swing online for $30 cheaper than BRU.
Screw BRU! I hate them.
