Coming out of lurking

Hi!

DH and I are expecting our first - due march 26! I finally decided I should start posting here too. We haven't told either of our parents yet, we're waiting until we see them in person in a couple weeks. (My parents at 8 weeks, DH's parents at 9 weeks) We've told just a couple close friends, but are really trying to wait until 12 wks to spread the news. Although I have a feeling after we tell the ILs its going to spread like wildfire!!

I haven't had a u/s or drs appt to confirm yet, we're meeting with different midwives and most don't schedule the first visit until 12wks!! I'm jealous of everyone that already has an u/s pic! Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Congratulations and welcome to 1st tri! I'm jealous of you that you have been so good at waiting to tell! We wanted to wait until 8 weeks to tell anyone, but just couldn't wait to spill the beans to our parents and siblings and so we ended up telling them (we're just over 5 weeks).

Here's to a H&H 9 months!

Welcome!!!! We are not planning to tell our parents too until after my dr appointment which will be at 9 weeks too.. i cant believe youd have to wait until 12 weeks to see your dr.. is there a reason for this??

congrats! we are waiting until we can tell our parents and other family in person as well - we live far away. it's hard to talk on the phone/online to people i'm close to and not mention the biggest news of my life.
