1st Trimester

advice please

Question for anyone who's had a successful pregnancy after a m/c...  I had my m/c 4 1/2 months ago.  I'm just over 6 weeks pregnant right now.  I've 'lost' any symptoms that I was having and am terrified I am going to loose another baby.  Sure, it's possible that I'm over analyzing everything and I know I'm thinking the worse (but still hoping for the best!).  My u/s isn't scheduled for almost 3 more weeks and it's mentally killing me to have to wait that long to know what is going inside of my own body.  I also have heard that the symptoms come and go,yadda, yadda, yadda; that isn't making it any easier for me.  If anyone who has been there, and willing to share, please tell me what was the same, what was different, and how you handled everything emotionally though it?  TIA.

Re: advice please

  • Has your OB ordered any bloodwork, like serial betas and progesterone?

You could also ask if they would do an u/s earlier, and explain that you've been through a m/c and are worried. If they're caring, they should try to work with you. If they aren't, you'll be able to tell, and it might be a sign to move on to a different doctor/practice.

I'm sorry for your loss, and I'm sending you some sticky vibes.

  • I had 2 early m/c and when I was around 7 weeks all my symptoms left!! Of course I freaked out, I called my OB and they had me come in the next day for an u/s. We were able to see the baby and a hb!! So if you are really worried call your dr. My symptoms were back full force the day after my u/s...
  • I've had three miscarriages and ive got one son and im pregnant again. Ev ery pregnancys different you need to remember this. Try not to worry tho i know that never goes away.

    good luck
