felt kinda bad last night...

in 2nd Trimester

I was talking about how the baby was kicking so much and about what braxton hicks feels like to dh and he stopped me and said "stop bragging".  i couldnt tell if he was being serious or not and i looked at him somewhat perplexed.  I told him I wasn't bragging and he went on to ask "why do women get to be the only ones that can experience it all?"  he really wished he knew what it felt like and could participate in it all more that listening to me and feeling my tummy with his hand.  I felt so bad! He was really pretty bummed about it.

 

Any of you experience this with your DH?  I dont really know what to do except to keep keeping him involved.

    Nope. I asked him if he was jealous I got to experience pregnancy and he looked at me like I was insane.

    I haven't, but if DH felt this way, I so would willingly give up my opportunity to feel everything I feel at this moment, and let him do it!

    My sister slept with her belly against her husband's back.  Every once in awhile, her DD would give a kick and he could feel it too!

    thats cute. but probably not gonna happen for us since im now sleeping with two body pillows and a pill between my knees haha.

    Nope, he thinks it's amazing and talks to her and kisses her all the time but he is glad he doesn't have to go through it. He has enough to deal with, with his own cravings etc haha

    my DH usually seems to not really 'get it' except he is sooo great about taking care of me...wants/needs...but as far as baby goes, I haven't gotten to feel movement so all the illness is all I've gotten...not something he envies...this morning we were sitting in bed on the comp together and he leaned over and kissed baby/belly for the 1st time...he has only ever felt baby/belly 2x's before so it was really sweet...I think he is more concerned about projects around the house before baby is here so that we can get working on the nursery...for now that keeps him pretty busy...GL
