Time for nursery decor!

So I'm really excited, because this weekend is nursery weekend. DH is going to paint, replace the fan, and put up new blinds!

The paint will be a taupe/tan color on the bottom half and a cream on the top half with a white chair rail dividing the two.

Our nursery will FINALLY be done this weekend! Yea for us! the top half is green, blue and white stripes. The bottom is brown with a white chair rail. We are cleaning the carpets and setting up the crib, dresser, and the bookcase....so excited! I get to finally organize the stuff I got at my first shower and all my wonderful garage sale finds!

One more question on your bedding- what accessories are you getting with it? Like will you get the mobile, the lamp, etc? Im always curious to see what people decide to get for the nursery.

Cute crib and bedding!

We aren't painting because the room was already baby blue from a couple years ago when DH painted it and we got new carpet last year. We bought our crib and dresser a couple weeks ago and just bought our glider last night. It's fun getting things in order and creating the nursery! I can't wait for my shower (whenever it happens to be) so I can put more clothes in the dresser and hopefully we will get the bedding at the shower also! We have to buy curtain rods and curtains(we have basic mini blinds but want light blocking curtains) and we'll do that probably in a couple weeks. Then we'll have to buy the mattress sometime after that and I think for everything else we will hold off until after the shower.

We registered for everything they offer for that set. The lamp is $50 though, so if someone wants to buy it...then thats fine, but I'd be just as happy with a plain one from Target. Knowing me, the first time I go to turn it on I'll probably knock it off the table. The theme of the bedding is butterflys and thats as far as I'll go with that. My cousin did lady bugs and EVERYTHING had ladybugs on it...baskets, rug, chairs, curtains, shelving, wooden letters for name, etc. It was a bit much!

Very cute! I am sad to say we haven't done much! We did put up white chair rail about 2/3 of the way up the wall and we painted below it white... The walls above are a color called "toasty grey" - kind of a neutral beige color with a grey undertone...

I am excited to get started but we agreed to wait until we find out the gender to go shopping!

Love your bedding! We were actually looking at that one for our little girl, but decided to go with Bananafish Raspberry Truffle. We painted the top walls pink, the bottom brown, and we are putting a cream chair rail in the middle. We have been painting for the last 3 days and will hopefully finish tonight. My dad is coming to put up the chair rail this weekend and to go pick up our nursery furniture. I am hoping to have it all done this weekend. Doen't it feel so good to get things done?!?!

I am sad to say that I have not been able to do a darn thing for the nursery yet. Sad

We are closing on our house (that we've had an accepted offer on since March; we've come up against a lot of issues), hopefully sometime in August. As soon as we get in there, I plan on going nuts with the nesting. We did pick out a paint color, and a bedding set, and nursery furniture, but we're not actually getting anything until we get into the house itself. Less stuff to move. I'm feeling antsy about not being able to nest, though.
