I think 4 times this time. One was BFN that I took at work. One was VERY faint that I took in the evening. Another was clearer, but DH still didn't believe it, so I took another one that left no doubt.

from time of my suspicion's to BFP -- about 30. literally i took one everyday for 6 weeks - after BFP i took 6 and a bloodtest to confirm..

5 times. I bought 5 Dollar Store ones and peed on 1 but wasn't sure it was positive, then another 2 the next day, then 1 each day for a couple days after that. I still have them in the bathroom drawer. Sometimes if I'm bored while I'm in there I'll play a game where I try to put them in order by increasing line darkness.

Three times. I took the first one to relieve my anxiety over waiting for my period since we had been trying for so long (20 months). Totally didn't expect to see two lines! Took another one that day and one the next morning to make sure it was still positive.

Six. I took one at 9 DPO, it was positive so I went to the doctor to "confirm" and it was negative (neither were FMU) ! We were totally bummed but I knew I was pregnant so I continued to take tests. Went back to the doctor on 12 DPO and finally their test showed it was positive.

i think it was 4 or 5 times for me too. i was alone when i got the first BFP (DH was in a wedding and out with his old roommate playing golf with him) so i peed on it again, and there was a FAINT line. and we came home and i peed on another one (really faint) then one in the AM. Finally i went to go get a digital to tell me once and for all..there is no mistaking what this means:

I about died. I didnt even know why i POAS when i did. i wasnt feeling anything and was maybe a day late, i wasnt thinking i was pregnant at all!!

3 the first one was a BFN even though my chart temps stayed high. Then I took a digital and it said pregnant right away then I took another digital just to confirm.

HA! suspected i was pregnant so i poas, negative. Thought i got my "period" the first month. Still thought maybe i was prego so i peed again 2 weeks later, negative... went to Dr. and had blood test, negative... got my "period" again. Finally at three months, i gained 5 lbs in a week... so I went to the doc and pretty much demanded u/s... of course they took blood test and urine, but before the results came back... we heard LO HB.

Oh, and you guessed it. Both were negative.
My hometown did a story on it too in our local paper. LOL

ADD:: by my 5th month... tests finally started showing up as positive. I dunno if the birth control i was on messed up with my hcg levels or something. I stopped taking it as soon as I thought i was preggers.
