  I went in to be induced, got an epi but it would wear off quickly so they had to redo it, still it would wear off after a short while. When my doc said it's time for a c-section they went through my epi, that didnt work, for the spinal for surgery and well it didn't really work. So instead of the usual pulling and little tugging they tell you that you may feel, I felt a LOT more than that. I felt the cutting and all, they said I shouldn't be feeling anything but think about it, if my epi was not working and they went through the epi for the spinal hmmm...it hurt like heck (a nice word to describe how it really felt) It took about 9 min., I remember in the operating room looking at the clock 9:00 p.m., screaming, talking crap, etc. then they said it's a girl lifted her up I looked at the clock 9:09 p.m., then they knocked me out, at the point I didn't feel anything. My doc had told me there was excessive bleeding, my temperature started going up and my blood pressure started dropping, I can see why, I felt too much. It just happened to be a fluke thing and my doc couldnt even believe it nor can anybody else who asks. But it's true.

  It's ok it sucked at the time and still when I think about it sometimes. I will never forget the pain. I would have rather felt the pain and found out what we had boy/girl, than to not know for a few hours and be one of the last to find out, I did not want to be knocked out until I knew. Like I said most people don't believe me but I'm serious about feeling all of it. It's like I went natural but with a knife, know what I mean! lol ( i can laugh and joke about it even though it sucked!)
