Just saw "Zoila & Diego 4EVA" written in fresh cement this morning and it made me think how much I love my neighborhood. I hear the moms at the local playground calling out all kinds of names from different countries and ethnicities as we all speak different languages to our DC. It makes me smile.

    I love the name Zoila! I had a friend in college with that name and we all called her Zoe. Her full name was Zoila Aurora...translation: I am the sunrise...love it!

    I love your post :)  I miss living in a very diverse area like that.  I lived in Baltimore and then a smaller "urban" area.  Now, for the ability to BUY a home we've moved out to the country.  These people are boring... and our neighborhood doesn't even HAVE a playground.  Haha.

    What a stereotype. I live in the "country" and I know a lot of people who aren't boring. I was born and raised in LA and I actually know my neighbors now.?If you have to live in a rural area you might as well make the most of it since it seems like you aren't leaving anytime soon.
