I thought the same thing when I saw your two birthdays yesterday, Anne! And even at 35, it's still hard to get people to come to "parties" this time of year -- we're going out to dinner tonight an NONE of our 6-7 couple/family friends on our street can go! It's the first time I've been in town for my birthday in 5 years myself, so I was looking forward to it. I remember why I always said I didn't want a baby with a mid-summer birthday; most friends were always away. People have been very sweet with kind wishes though.
