Whining/whimpering in sleep?

My 6 week old whines and whimpers almost the whole time he is sleeping/napping.  Does anyone else find that their LO does the same thing? Is it something they outgrow?

    DD does this.  Sometimes she'll even let out a good cry but then stop.  It is almost as if she is having a dream. 

    When babies whine and whimper in their sleep they remind me of dogs.

    My DD does this too, she makes sad faces too! I feel so bad like she's having a bad dream!

    DS does.  It's sometimes difficult to tell if he's waking up or just making noise.

    MY DD does exactly this! All of our LO seem to be around the same age perhaps its just a stage they go through?
