I've heard that people love them, but what times do find yourself using your moby? I feel like my shirt will be all bunched up underneath and annoy me. Also, does it get hot with the baby in there? I plan on breastfeeding so will it be useful at all for that?
thanks for your opinion!
Re: please explain when I would use a Moby?
I made my own version of a moby. We use it around the house. The baby loves being in it, and I'm able to get lots done with him perfectly happy.
I imagine I'll use it when we go out, I just haven't been out too much yet. You can nurse in it, but I haven't mastered that yet.
Around the house when you want to get things done and LO doesn't want to be put down.
In a store when you are tired of using the carseat, or when they don't have carts to put the seat in.
I use it for walks, because LO likes to face out and look around. She is too small to sit up in the stroller and look around.
DH used it to climb a mountain with her in it. LOL. It was Stn Mtn here in GA, so its not like he was in the wilderness or anything. Its in a park.
My shirt never gets bunched up under it. I PPH it!
I suggest trying a "My Baby Nest". It does everything the Moby does but it is easier to use in my opinion (I have both). The fabric doesn't need to be tied so it doesn't get bunched up and is really comfortable to wear and easy to use.
I have my LO in the wrap right now! When she is fussy and doesn't want to go down for a nap I will put her in the wrap and she falls right asleep. It is a great way to calm a fussy baby. It is also nice because your hands are free so you can get housework done or type on your computer, eat lunch, etc. I also use mine when I go to softball games, shopping, family functions, etc.

I use it when I need to get stuff done around the house and he just wants to be held. Or if he's really fussy it calms him.
I use it when I'm going to be in a store for a long time, like grocery shopping. I haven't nursed in it, but I know you can.
I also use it to walk the dog when I'm home by myself.
It can get a little warm (and I live in Florida) but I don't use it if I'm going to be outside for a long time.
I don't have a moby but I have a www.piggysack.com and I use it in some form or fashion every single day. Trips to the store, around the house, I second what the PP said about when he's fussy but won't go down I put him in there and he usually falls asleep. The moby looks too hot for me.
I have BF'd while hiking and when I was walking around DC (with a cover over top of us.) Granted you could probably tell he was eating under there but I didnt care...I wasn't stopping!
