Did everyone hear about this? I don't call any posts about it. I posted last night but no one was on. This is the worst thing I have everrrrrr heard, for real.

"Police say Sanchez chewed off three of her 3 week old sons toes and ate parts of the brain. She used a knife and two swords in the attack, according to police."

That pretty much sums up the story but here's the link for full story. WTF?

OMG, WTF is wrong with some people? (The crazy person, not your for posting) I truly cannot even handle hearing about things like that! ?So beyond crazy and terrible...I just can hardly even hear about it, much less read anymore about it.

I assume this = post partum psychosis, which is unfortunately a real threat to new mothers. It's a horrific story but I wish the media would highlight that, even if it helps only one other new mother recognize her own issues.

I don't know if I'd call it that. She's had a history of mental issues, so it's not something new.

I hope she rots in hell for what she did.

This exactly. There is a significant difference between Postpartum Depression and Postpartum Psychosis and NOBODY talks about the psychosis. Poor kid ..so sad Sad

I posted it because post pard is real & there could be people here that have a mild case of it & could be ignoring it & maybe this shows how severe untreated cases can be. Sorry if it upset you-as I warned. But I think this is the perfect place to post it. We're all mothers & obviously this does go on.

My heart also goes out to the police officers and other medical personnel who had to witness that. It's bad enough for us just to read/hear about it, but they actually saw it. I hope for their sake they will be okay.

I agree that this is sick, like I stated when you posted it last night. I do not agree that this is not the place to post it - I do think that we as mothers should hear about this stuff, to make us thankful for what we have and to appreciate it even more. Like KMF said - we all talk about how great everything is, but we all know that sometimes we have those days where we get frustrated and ... maybe for some people its more than just some days. Hearing about this made me want to wake up DS just to hold him last night.

I first heard about it on FB. A friend of mine sent me an invite to join the group "Hang Otty Sanchez". I do recall a couple of posts on here about it too.

It is truly disgusting. This woman deserves to die the exact way that her poor son did. PPD, Schizophrenia whatever the F everyone wants to call it.. no excuse. This woman is a monster and deserves the worst punishment possible. Also, If the family knew that she was this disturbed, they are just as much at fault. How do you let something like this go on? Sick friggin people.
