New attitude about weight/body

I decided yesterday that I am going to have a different attitude about my weight/body post-baby.  It was really depressing me that everything fit differently and I just feel "blah". I want to buy new clothes, but what's the point when I am right between sizes and hope to lose at least something.

Then I thought, "hey, at least I can fit into my pre-preg clothes".  So, they may fit differently, but I know that it was a very real possibility that I would never even fit back into these clothes.  So, I am going to appreciate my new body proportions for what they are.  Sure, I will still work to get healthier and back into shape, but for now, I feel good for that accomplishment.  I need to not be grumpy and depressed about my body to be the best mom I can be to my son :)  Alright...who's with me?!

I jumped on board this train last week after I was feeling depressed about my body.  It's all about the small goals. Nice job on the pre-pg clothes!

  • Good for you, that's awesome!  I am at (actually a little below)my prepregnancy weight but need to lose more wieght, this is a great attitude to have.
  • I will most likely have this attitude when I too fit in my pre-preg clothes!! LOL - I am not even close!
  • I applaud you because I'm trying to work towards this mentality. It drives my H crazy when I complain about my body and I just need to stop and focus on the important things in life.

FWIW: It was all getting worse for me as I approach the 9 month mark.  I had the 9 up, 9 down mentality and was starting to panic.  Dumb, I know, but when it's so stuck in your head b/c you hear it all the time, you can't help but feel the pressure.
