Babies with Allergies - another question! and an update

So I took Willow to the Dr.  Her skin went nuts last week and although it cleared up by the time we got to the Dr (of course) the worst spot of eczema was actually cracked & bleeding and just goopey and slimey - was getting greenish.

They said it's  an infection.  So she's on the Pink Stuff, amoxicillan

And they wanted Neosporin on it but I have a huge allergie to that so I got a presciption for something different and it works the same.

I have to take Willow in for blood work to check for allergies then most likely going to a specialist.

Plus I got some steriod cream  for flare ups. But they said some parents don't give it??  WHY?

DO you guys use steroid cream?

Yeah when they have excema their skin is so dry and all their scratches make it so easy for infection to get in.  Gage got a staph infection from head to toe when he was about 6 months old cause of this...

Now we have an antibiotic cream that we put on if any of his spots become open.

And yeah, what CDMay said about steroid creams!  We use it but only on his really bad spots.  It can thin the skin too if it's used too much.

I'm glad you're getting her blood test!!  I hope you guys can get some answers!!  Poor little Willow!!
