NBR: Should I get a Wii?

I want a Wii - I think they're a lot of fun. BUT, I'm not sure if I'll have enough time to use it to justify the expense. Then again, if I give up Farmville, that opens up some time. Its also something DH and I can enjoy together. I hate spending money... You tell me. Should I get a Wii??

I got one and after all the excitement died down, it hasn't been touched. We haven't used it since before I found out I was pregnant.

DH surprised me and bought one SUPER cheap on Ebay. We don't really play during the week, but Friday and Saturday nights we've started having a few beers after K is asleep and playing. It's been nice doing something together again that doesn't involve going out or spending $

We have one. I haven't touched it in months, but DH plays on it almost daily. We also have the wii fit, which I plan to start using as soon as I am cleared to work out.

It really depends on how much you are going to use it. TBH, it doesn't sound like you would use it that much (or you will use it a lot in the beginning, but it would end up sitting and collecting dust before long). Also keep in mind that you also have to pay for games, which can add up to a lot.

I share a Wii with my BIL and SIL, and it's okay to pass the time once in a while, but we rarely play it anymore. I would not have spent the money on it had it just been for me and DH. Personally, I prefer computer games over console games, so maybe I'm biased.

When we first got our wii, we played it non-stop for about three months and then lost interest. Until we bought guitar hero which sparked another 3 month or so obsession. The wii is also fun to play when you have a couple of friends over. I think it's worth it even if our interest changes depending on what games we are into at the moment.

DH and I bought a Wii for our 1st wedding anniversary in June. We thought it would be something fun to do together. We played it a lot for about a month. Eventually the game we bought got old so we need to find something else. If we keep this up it is going to get expensive!
